When in Chiang Mai, you have to try t
he delicate flavours of Khantoke
Dinner. It i
s the traditional northern style of
serving food - five to six dishes are arranged on rattan tray set on a pedestal. Diners
sit around and partake the meals which are constantly top up - so you can eat as much as
you like. While dinner in progress, beautiful young dancers in dazzing colourful
traditional costumes will delight you with diversity of classical court and folk dances of
the four regions of northern Thailand. Visitors are generally enthralled by the
magnificence of the costumes, the elegance of the choreography and the s
erene,
lilting melodies played by an exotic ensemble of instruments.
An evening at Khum Kaew Palace in a century old Lanna architecture of golden teak wood

reflects an awesome reverence for the Buddhist religion. There are about 300 temples in
Chiang mai and its outskirts.

to whisk you to the summit if the climb seem too daunting.
In the 14 century, the amazing tale of the building of this temple began when an elephant
